What is Ayurvedist?
Ayurvedist is a modern Ayurvedic tea company rooted in traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and designed for everyday life. Our organic herbal blends are crafted to help you feel balanced, clear, and steady - without complicated routines.
Where are your teas made?
We source our herbs from Sri Lanka, Egypt, South Africa, and India - places known for their incredible herbal traditions. Every blend is then hand packed in Southern California so you get fresh, high-quality tea in every pouch.
What makes Ayurvedist different from other tea brands?

Ayurveda & Doshas
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is an ancient Indian wellness system that focuses on balancing your mind, body, and energies using herbs, food, and lifestyle habits. Think of it as the OG self-care, designed to help you feel your best - inside and out. It’s been around for over 5,000 years - and it’s still going strong.
What are doshas?
In Ayurveda, “doshas” are the three main mind–body types: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Everyone has all three, but usually one or two tend to be more dominant. The goal is to keep these energies in balance so you feel clear, steady, and well.

How do I know my dosha?
Your dosha shows up in your natural tendencies - things like your energy levels, digestion, sleep patterns, mood, and how you handle stress.

Do I need to know my dosha to choose a tea?
Not at all. Knowing your dosha can help you personalize your choice, but it’s not required. You can:
- Choose a blend based on how you currently feel (for example, overheated, sluggish, or scattered), or
- Start with Tridosha if you’re not sure where to begin. It’s crafted to support balance for most people, even if you’ve never heard the word “dosha” before.

If you just want to skip all this, start with our Tridosha tea - it's aimed at bringing Ayurvedic wellbeing with no context needed.
What is Tridosha Tea?
Tridosha is our balancing blend designed to support all three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. It’s a great place to start if you’re new to Ayurveda, sharing teas with others, or wanting a simple daily ritual that supports overall balance.
Ingredients & Safety
Are your teas organic?
Yes - our blends are made with 100% organic ingredients. Our certification is currently in progress, but our sourcing standards are never compromised. We work only with suppliers who align with our focus on clean, high-quality, transparently sourced herbs.
Are your teas caffeine-free?
Yes - all Ayurvedist teas are completely caffeine-free. Every blend is herbal, so you get the benefits without the caffeine jitters.
Do your teas contain any flavors, sweeteners, or additives?
No natural flavors, no artificial flavors, no sweeteners, no colors - nothing added. Our teas are made from real herbs. What you see on the ingredient list is exactly what’s in your cup.
Are your teas gluten-free and vegan?
Yes - our teas are naturally gluten-free and vegan. They contain only plant-based ingredients.
Are your teas allergen-friendly?
We don’t use common allergens like dairy, nuts, or soy in our blends. However, if you have sensitivities or medical concerns, we always recommend reviewing the ingredient panel and speaking with your doctor to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
Are your teas safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We don’t recommend drinking Ayurvedist teas if you’re trying to conceive, pregnant, or breastfeeding. This isn’t specific to our blends - it applies to herbs and Ayurvedic supplements in general.
Always consult your healthcare provider before consuming any herbal products during this time. They’ll be able to guide what’s right for you.
Can I drink your teas if I’m on medication or have a medical condition?
If you’re taking medication or managing a health condition, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before introducing herbal products. Our teas are meant to support general wellbeing and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Brewing & Usage
How do I brew Ayurvedist teas?
Super simple:
- Boil fresh water
- Pour over one tea bag
- Steep for 3–5 minutes
- Sip and enjoy
How many cups can I drink per day?
Most people enjoy 1–2 cups a day. We recommend starting with one and adjust based on what feels good for you.
Can I drink more than one blend in a day?
Yes - you can mix and match blends throughout your day.
When is the best time to drink each tea?
Here’s a simple guide:
- Kapha Tea → Morning
A warming, activating blend - great for starting the day or beating a slump - Pitta Tea → Midday or afternoon
Perfect when you want something cooling and soothing - Vata Tea → Evening
Great when you want something grounding and calming - Tridosha Tea → Anytime
A balancing blend you can enjoy whenever you want a reset
How should I store my teas?
Store the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
Orders, Shipping & Returns
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States only.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Processing time: 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Once your order is packed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number.
Shipping timelines:
- Standard Shipping: 3–7 business days
- Express Shipping: 1–3 business days (optional at checkout)
How much does shipping cost?
- Free shipping on orders with 2 or more teas
- $3.99 flat rate for all other orders
- Express shipping rates are calculated at checkout
What is your return policy?
We have a no-return policy. Since tea is a food product, returning it is wasteful and often unsafe to resell.
If you didn’t love your tea, we’re sorry it missed the mark - you’re welcome to compost it, gift it, or donate it to someone who might enjoy it. We always appreciate your feedback.

What is your refund policy?
We may offer a refund on a case-by-case basis.
If a refund is approved, it will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. (Your bank or card provider may need a bit more time to process and post it.)
If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please reach out to dee@ayurvedist.co.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We’ll do our best to help! If you need to change or cancel an order, email dee@ayurvedist.co as soon as possible with your order number. If your order hasn’t been processed or shipped yet, we may be able to update it.
My order arrived damaged or incorrect. What should I do?
We’re so sorry about that! Email us at dee@ayurvedist.co with your order number, a brief description of the issue, and a photo if you can. We’ll review and arrange a replacement or another solution.
Sustainability & Packaging
Are your tea bags compostable?
Yes. We use Soilon, a plant-based, microplastic-free tea bag made from renewable and biodegradable materials. It’s heat-safe, gentle on the planet, and a cleaner alternative to traditional plastic tea bags.
Do your tea bags contain plastic or microplastics?
No - none at all. Soilon is fully plant-based, so our tea bags contain zero nylon, PET, or plastic mesh. Keeping microplastics out of your cup is a core part of our packaging standards.
Why does sustainability matter to Ayurvedist?
We believe feeling well shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. From compostable tea bags to mindful outer packaging, we’re always working toward lower-impact choices that still protect the quality of your tea.
